Tiny Eden Drones & the Database Quest
The question that started it
“Where data base???” was posted on the Steam board the morning after launch, and it took several replies before anyone answered it properly, because the item is not for sale anywhere. Another player put the problem plainly: “I can’t complete the drone hub. I need a database.”
The chain, step by step
- Grow cornflowers. The chain starts with the flower, so you need seeds and a pot before anything else happens.
- Wait for the quest prompt.
- Take the cornflowers to the roof between 21:00 and 23:00. The window is real and it is narrow. Remember that time runs at 60:1, so those two in-game hours are two real minutes.
- Hand them to the robot on the roof. The spot is not map-marked, which is the other half of why this chain stalls — one player noted the demo had a marked hand-in point and the release build does not.
- Return to the atrium the next day and collect the database from the courier.
- Keep a free inventory slot. The hand-over needs space; a full inventory silently blocks it.
That sequence comes from a Russian-language reply on the thread which is the only complete write-up of the chain posted so far, corroborated by a second player who described the same rooftop-and-timing shape.
What the drones are for
Agri-drones automate garden labour, watering included — there is a drone-activity watering skill that players were already searching for before launch. The scale ceiling is set by an achievement: Spare Hands is awarded for having sixteen agri-drones working simultaneously. At 0.1% global unlock the day after launch, nobody has come close yet.
Why the hub matters more than it looks
Tiny Eden lets the garden reach several hundred plants indoors and on the rooftop. That is far past what hand-watering scales to, which makes drone automation less a convenience unlock than the thing that decides how large your garden can actually get. Getting the hub online early is worth the detour through the cornflower chain.
If the rooftop hand-in does not trigger
Check the quest list in the top-left corner first — the chain is tracked there, and the prompt is what makes the rooftop interaction live. If the quest is active, the window is right and the spot still does nothing, note that several quest hand-ins were confirmed bugged during launch week; the known issues page tracks which ones Bajka Games has acknowledged.
Thanks for the feedback!
