Tiny Eden Plants & Growth Stages

The base game ships with around 40 plant species — microgreens, root vegetables, flowers and berry bushes — and the developer has said mushrooms, vines and trees are the intended expansion. What follows is the confirmed structure, plus the species that can actually be traced to an official post, a screenshot or an in-game string.

The four growth stages

StageWhat happens
SproutThe first stage after sowing. Needs care: weeding, disease treatment, keeping light and temperature in range.
SeedlingStill an early-care stage — and the window in which clip-on grow lights and cooling fans will attach to a large planter.
MatureHarvestable and maintained. Each harvest forces the choice between profit and research.
WiltingThe end stage. Wilting can mean it is time to replace the plant, or be used deliberately — for example to attract pollinators.

Two practical consequences fall out of this. First, the seedling window is the only time a clip-on grow light or cooling fan will attach — see the planter rules. Second, wilting is not purely a failure state: a wilting plant can be left deliberately to draw pollinators, which is what the bee achievements are built around.

Species confirmed so far

PlantCategoryWhere it is confirmed
StrawberryBerryAn early quest asks you to plant three strawberries in the gold-highlighted planters; the plant info panel for Strawberry appears in the official store screenshots.
OnionRoot vegetableNamed in the Steam Discussions as the crop that fills the larger 4x4 planters.
Bell pepperVegetableNamed as one of the shallow-depth crops grown in the Castor planter line.
CucumberVegetableNamed alongside bell peppers as a shallow-depth Castor crop.
CornflowerFlowerThe database quest chain requires growing cornflowers and delivering them to the rooftop between 21:00 and 23:00.
TomatoVegetableUsed in the developer FAQ as the companion-planting example (basil protects tomatoes from pests) and in the breeding example (frost-resistant purple tomatoes).
BasilHerbThe companion-planting example in the developer FAQ.
JalapeñoVegetableNamed in the developer FAQ as a typical starter crop players grow for fun.

That is eight of roughly forty. No complete species list has been published by Bajka Games, and this page will not invent the remainder — the entries above are the ones with a source attached.

Plant list checked:

Difficulty, and what actually gates a seed

Plants have genuinely different requirements — light, temperature, soil, pot depth — but the developer FAQ is explicit that none are locked behind plant progress. What blocks you is standing: you may need to improve your reputation among the apartment residents before they will sell you a given seed. The FAQ adds a note that is unusual for a farming sim: “real-world knowledge can provide an advantage,” because the growing model is built to be close enough to reality that the same techniques transfer.

Where the plant list goes next

The categories in the base game are microgreens, root vegetables, flowers and berry bushes. If the game does well, Bajka Games has said the plan is to expand into mushrooms, vines and trees — the three categories a balcony garden cannot currently grow. That is a stated intent in the developer FAQ, not a dated roadmap; the roadmap page keeps track of what has actually been committed to.
