Tiny Eden Controls & Settings: What Exists
The fixed parts
Two answers from the developer FAQ settle the camera question:
- Is Tiny Eden played in first-person? Yes.
- Can I change to third-person? No.
That is a design decision, not a missing feature. The whole premise is being inside your own apartment.
Controller support
The Steam store page for Tiny Eden carries no Full Controller Support and no Partial Controller Support category. Controller support is an open request thread on the discussion board rather than a shipped feature, and no developer commitment has been published.
Options players are asking for
These are all live threads from launch week. None are bugs; they are gaps in the options menu:
| Request | Thread status |
|---|---|
| Invert Y-axis / invert vertical mouse look | Reported as not working |
| Invert scrolling direction | Requested |
| Remappable keybinds | Requested |
| Hold shift to run, as an alternative to toggle | Requested |
| Drag and drop in the inventory | Requested |
| Ultrawide FOV handling and more windowed-mode resolutions | Filed as a bug report |
| FOV slider | Requested |
| Footstep volume, described as overwhelming | Reported |
Steam does list Custom Volume Controls among the game’s accessibility categories, alongside Camera Comfort, Colour Alternatives, Playable without Timed Input and Save Anytime — so audio mixing exists at some level even where individual sliders do not.
Listening to the soundtrack outside the game
A small search term with a clear answer: yes. The developer FAQ confirms the music is available on all major platforms and said links would follow. If you are searching for how to control music in-game, the volume controls are the accessibility category above.
Accessibility categories on the store page
Worth listing in full, because they are unusually good for a small studio and they are verifiable on the store page:
- Camera Comfort
- Colour Alternatives
- Custom Volume Controls
- Playable without Timed Input
- Save Anytime
Save Anytime deserves a note of its own. It is the reason the demo-save workaround for the retail-unit bug is painless — save, close, uninstall the demo, reload. That sequence is on the known issues page.
Time and pacing
There is no timed input to fight and no game over. The clock runs at a 60:1 ratio — one real second to one in-game minute — which matters only for the handful of window-gated quest steps like the 21:00-23:00 rooftop hand-off.
Thanks for the feedback!
